Are the meals fresh or frozen?
All our meals are delivered Frozen so that they will be ready when you need them, and you can keep them in the freezer until you do. Meals stored in a freezer will generally last up to 3 months. If meals are stored in a refrigerator they should be consumed within 24 hours. Meals should not be refrozen after defrosting.
We think frozen food gets a bad rap! there is a misconception that frozen are less healthy and less tasty.
Most frozen meals do not contain the preservatives that are contained in fresh meals, as they are not required to extend the shelf life of frozen meals. Also the process of freezing has very little impact on the nutritional content of foods. In fact, in some cases frozen foods will contain more vitamins and minerals than fresh meals as the freezing process locks in the nutrients of the food, fresh food will lose nutritional value as time goes by.
Should I defrost the meal before reheating?
We recommend defrosting your meal fully before heating for the best results.
Are any of the meals Allergen free?
Cooking up goodness for every dietary requirement we know is something that is important to our customers. Please note that meals are prepared in a kitchen that sometimes contains nuts, dairy and wheat, so we cannot guarantee that our meals will be completely free from traces of key allergens.
