The Boatshed
Located right in the heart of Wellington Waterfront with its spectacular views on the inner harbour, The Boatshed is one of Wellington’s premium venues for corporate events, private functions and weddings.
The Boatshed is the perfect venue for as few as 25 people as well as larger numbers up to its legal maximum capacity of 300. The venue features a main room with a spacious wooden floor as well as an adjoining carpeted bar/lounge area which can be separated with dividing doors.
The Otaki Milk Station
The Otaki Milk Station on the Kapiti Coast is a superb historical venue. Just an hour north of Wellington, it’s a world away. The Station’s history and stories are draped in contemporary character and inspired design.
This inspired venue includes a main reception area for 200 people, cigar room, finishing kitchen, four acres of European inspired gardens, and 5 star accommodation.
Short Straw Events
Situated in the stunning Whitemans Valley, Short Straw Events is an idyllic rural escape. This unique and charming venue is the perfect choice for your intimate wedding. With delightful grounds, ample photography backdrops and an optional beautiful ceremony space indoors, it’s the perfect setting for your special day.

Begonia House
Built in 1960, the Begonia House is a stunning venue located just minutes from the central city within the Lady Norwood Rose Garden at Wellington Botanic Garden.
The intimate venue is a unique space available for weddings and civil unions, formal and corporate functions, conferences, exhibitions and formal dinners after it has closed to the public.
The New Zealand Portrait Gallery
The New Zealand Portrait Gallery Te Pūkenga Whakaata was founded in 1990, placed on Wellington’s waterfront in Shed 11. The beautifully spacious yet intimate setting has capacity for anywhere from 10 to 250 guests. Framed by New Zealand art in the backdrop of a beautiful historic building your event will be one to remember.
The Gallery’s space provides an exquisite setting for a wedding reception or family celebration and 11 provides excellent acoustics for musical performances and a fabulous atmosphere.
Te Rauparaha Arena
Te Rauparaha Arena is Porirua’s premier indoor sports complex, aquatic centre, fitness centre and events venue. The multi-venue facility has the capacity to host events of any size and scale and has all the services and suppliers on hand to make your event run in spectacular and smooth fashion.
